Where to stay?
You probably know that we live in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights. Crown Heights is a wonderful residential neighborhood but doesn’t have much in the way of places to stay. For guests wanting to stay in Brooklyn, we recommend Downtown Brooklyn or Williamsburg, which have much better hotel options.
Downtown Brooklyn
There is a special rate at the Brooklyn Hilton available for guests staying Friday-Sunday that guests can book via this link. This location is a short subway ride from us in Crown Heights and to the wedding venue. It is also walking distance to a number of attractions and fun neighborhoods like the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge Park, Gowanus, Park Slope and Fort Greene:

Airbnb and short-term rentals
While not completely banned, local laws restrict what kind of short-term rentals are allowed in New York City. It may be worth a look at Airbnb or Vrbo, but options are generally very limited.

Getting there
Flying
We recommend flying into either JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport) or LGA (LaGuardia Airport). EWR (Newark Liberty International Airport) is an option as well, but travel from New York City to Newark is more challenging.
Getting an Uber, Lyft, or cab to and from JFK or LGA should be around $50-70.
Getting around
We always recommend walking, biking and public transportation to get around. The Greenpoint Loft is off the Greenpoint Ave stop on the G train and should be easily accessible from the hotels listed above. Depending on your stay and where you are going, using rideshare apps may be useful at times too.
